We strive to reach out to as many people as possible in all age groups; a good example here is the Union Blues Cup. Local/regional bands and artists can audition to be in this competition and the winner is sent to the finals at the Notodden blues festival. The final winner there is rewarded with financed touring to norwegian blues clubs and creating a solid musical network to branch out in the music industry.
We also put a lot of focus on quality, not just quantity. We have high goals to make this festival a great experience for our audience as well as the musicians. Dalane Blues Festival started out small but has grown to be a well known and respected music event both in and out of the country, we get visitors from all over the world each year. Beth Hart, The Waterboys, Johnny Winter, Oli Brown and Andrew Strong are just a handfull of the many names we have had throughout the years. This festival wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for our fantasic volunteers, sponsors and of course our audience.
About Egersund and Dalane
If this is your first time (or tenth) visiting, you will have a great opportunity to experience things outside of the festival. Egersund is a beautiful place that holds many treats and treasures for tourists. Here you can find some of the best rivers for salmon fishing in the country and possibly Europe. There are also some beautiful beaches in the district, but it's usually quite windy here so be prepared for a chilly breeze by the ocean. We also recommend a visit to Sogndalstrand. There are many things to see and do in and around Egersund, something for everybody! We hope to see you in "Okka by".

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased through billettservice.no. It will also be possible to buy tickets at the festival site but it is recommended to purchase online since there is no guarantee that the event won't be sold out. Beverages are only purchased with the festivals cupons, these are available at the ticket stand in the festival area close to the main stage.

This is our mainstage, and can take up to 2 000 guest
Sykkelverkstedet (The bike workshop)
This is an old garage from the 50s, and one of our favorite locations – guaranteed a good atmosphere.
Grand scene
This location is in the basement of Grand Hotel in Egersund.
Pibbaren & Nelliken
This is one of the most popular places in town – and the stage is in the backyard of this cosy bar / pub / restaurant.
Blues camping
Dalane Blues Festival offers car-camping (no tents og cottages) for visitors during the festival. Power, toilettes and showers are provided in the camping area. The campsite is located by "Egersundshallen", signs and directions are also provided throughout the city. Cost for one day per vehicle: 300 NOK.
