Consequences

  • Larger loose items may be taken by the wind
  • Cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport to be expected
  • Bridges may be closed
  • Some journeys may have longer travel times
  • The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over the power line, for instance
  • Roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road
  • Blowing snow at higher altitudes causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads
  • The strong wind may cause locally high waves in fjords and lakes

Description

From Friday afternoon locally very strong wind gusts are expected at 28-36 m/s from the east and full storm at the coast of Agder and in the mountain areas. The wind gusts is in many places expected to be the strongest in the last 10 years.

Applies to parts of Vestlandet. Sør-Trøndelag og the mountain areas in the south of Norway.
